Dinners and Happy Hours

Survivor Party (January)

<Cancelled for 2020 due to proximity to Mardi Gras event> We've made it through the busy holiday season! Come celebrate with your fellow membership and relive your "war stories" with a cold drink and some light food. Start the year off right with our always fun survivor party.

AAC Dinner (March)

The honor society of ACF, the American Academy of Chefs (AAC) represents the highest standards of professionalism in the organization, society and industry. The Academy’s primary mission is to promote the education of all culinarians by mentoring culinarians, awarding scholarships to students seeking a future in the culinary industry, and by providing grants to professional working chefs looking to further their career. Our chapter hosts a 5-6 course black tie event at one of our own membership establishments. Honoring these chef's with an incredible meal is one of our few formal elegant dining events.

Purveyor Appreciation Happy Hour (August)

Similar to our survivor party, this event is a casual event meant to celebrate making it through a busy summer season. This time we are highlighting all of our amazing purveyors who support or individual organizations and Chefs de Cuisine chapter. Instead of just taking business or placing your order, come out and talk to your purveyors for who they are, amazing passionate people.

Chef of the Year Dinner (November)

A true celebration for all chefs, especially past winners. This event showcases the winner of the yearly Chef of the Year Competition through a first class, multi-course plated dinner. Other awards include junior chef of the year, purveyor of the year and restaurant of the year. This black tie event is celebrates our chapter's most prestigious award by bringing past chef's of the year together along with membership.

Fundraisers

Mardi Gras (January, February, or March)

Join us for the annual Chef's Culinary Mardi Gras Fundraiser - a culinary extravaganza to celebrate Mardi Gras in grand style with music, dancing and an evening full of surprises!

Mardi Gras costumes are encouraged and there will be prizes for the top three costumes. Top prize is two tickets to the American Academy Chefs Dinner in March. Also, there will be a POT OF GOLD drawing at the end of the night.

Tickets can be purchased individually or for tables of 10. Junior members receive a discount on their ticket. All proceeds will be used to fund culinary arts scholarships and junior culinary competitions.

Sebastian Murabito Golf Tournament (June)

A yearly chapter favorite!  The annual Sebastian Murabito golf tournament will be held this year at the Quarry at Crystal Springs golf course.  Start practicing your game and beginning to decide who’s lucky enough to be on your foursome.  This cause benefits our local chapter and education foundation.

Cheftoberfest (October)

The St. Louis Chefs Cheftoberfest will be held in October at the Anheuser Busch Biergarten. More than twenty chefs will prepare their versions of Cheftoberfest fare, each with a toast to the season, the festival and Anheuser Busch’s portfolio of beers. This venue can easily hold of 300 people so invite any and all your friends and family. For an affordable price you'll be able to taste these chef's seasonal fare and wash it down with one of our city's favorite beers. Money from this event goes to supporting our chapter educational and culinary student teams.

Spring Salon (March or April)

An opportunity to compete in ACF-sanctioned competitions or get re-certified.

Fall Salon (August or September)

An opportunity to compete in ACF-sanctioned competitions or get re-certified, or watch our annual Chef of the Year and Junior Chef of the Year competition. 

ACF Conventions

ChefConnect (March or April)

ACF sponsors two "regional" conventions each year in the spring. Focusing on education and networking, they offer numerous presentations, demonstrations, and workshops from chefs and businesses from around the country. Purveyors present numerous product displays. And social events allow yo to network with your peers from all over the country. This is the place to be and to be seen while you learn about upcoming trends and what other chapters are doing. Network with other chefs and purveyors and share what you know while you learn from others.

National ACF Convention (July or August)

Similar to ChefConnect, it is bigger and better. In addition to the all the opportunities that ChefConnect provides, regional and national competitions are held and national award winners in numerous categories are recognized.

MRA Trivia Night (February)

Sponsored by the St. Louis chapter of the Missouri Restaurant Association (MRA), a fun-filled night of trivia is accompanied by small plates prepared by area chefs and served  by culinary students. Oh ya, there's complimentary beer and wine with your the purchase of your ticket! US Foods is proud to host this event which benefits The Greater St. Louis Restaurant Association and ACF Chefs de Cuisine of St. Louis.

CMAA Chef's Night Out (April)

Chef’s Night Out is hosted by the the St. .Louis chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) and Performance Food Group (PFG-Middendorf) and benefits Great Circle and Edgewood Children’s Home here in St Louis. Every year top area Chef's and Bommarito Wines come together for a small plate style meals and wine tastings. The food and wine are always the star of the show; however, everyone attending knows what an amazing cause this is truly for.

Farm to Table Collaboration Dinner

Heirloom, organic, local, grass-fed, all-natural, fresh... So many terms are thrown around now a days with food that claim to be the best. Our chapter's collaboration dinner is the epitome of embodying these terms. One of our chapter's amazing chef's pairs with an innovative restaurant chef, and together they put on an amazing dinner featuring such items. Reservations are limited so be sure to mark your calendars for this great event.  

ACF Family Day

How important is family? The support of the people who love us is what keeps us in this industry striving to succeed and improve. So many events don't cater to the ones we love until our family day came about. Whether your recently had a baby or you'd like to bring your grandparents, our family day event brings everyone together.


Culinary Workshops and Pastry Guild Forum

The St. Louis chapter of the Pastry Guild has the goal of hosting top chefs, farmers and teachers to enlighten our membership of latest trends and culinary information. Look forward to around 2-3 culinary workshops and pastry guild meetings throughout the year.
