An Evening with Master Chef Aidan Murphy, CMC, AAC,
to benefit the American Culinary Foundation-St. Louis Chapter Education Fund
at Stone Soup Cottage

Chef Carl McConnell (Stone Soup Cottage) and Chef Dan Holtgrave (Old Warson Country Club) invite you to an evening of food, wine, and education, all to benefit the American Culinary Foundation-St. Louis Chapter Education Fund.


Master Chef Aidan Murphy will be speaking on food and wine during the evenings meal as well as opening the floor to any questions about his illustrious culinary career.

$175 | price per person includes canapés, four course tasting menu, and wine pairings with the menu. Tax, gratuity, and additional beverages not included. Payment is due upon reservation. No cancellations or refunds.

All proceeds will go to the American Culinary Foundation-St. Louis Chapter Educational Fund

For guest seating, there will be one communal table for parties of 4 or less guests. For tables of 6 or more, you will be seated at your own table.





Meet Master Chef Aidan Murphy...

Master Chef Aidan Murphy, CMC, AAC

Aidan was born in Dublin, Ireland. After graduating from the Dublin College of Catering he moved to Switzerland and worked for four years in winter and summer resorts. After Switzerland, Aidan moved to the United States and lived and worked in Florida for eight years. In 1991, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri as the Executive Chef of Old Warson Country Club. In 2009, Aidan was promoted to General Manager of Old Warson Country Club. With his exemplary kitchen background and charismatic manners, Aidan has held in reserve Old Warson as a Platinum Club of America.


Aidan's achievements include:

  • Certified Master Chef, one of 67 in the United States (This is the highest certification and the most rigorous testing for American Chef)
  • WACS Global Chef Competition, Dubai -First place in Food and Wine Pairing, Third Place Overall
  • ACF National Chef of the Year, 2006
  • President of the Chef de Cuisine (Served two terms)
  • 1995 Chef of the Year - St. Louis Chef de Cuisine
  • Team Captain of the Southeast 1992 Culinary Team USA - Top regional team of America, Five Gold medals
  • Culinary Master 1990, Charlottetown - Prince Edward Island, Canada, Team USA Southeast, Two gold medals
  • 1989 Chef of the Year - Palm Beach Chapter
  • South Florida Regional Culinary Salon, 1989, Palm Beach, Gold medals in categories A and D & Special award for outstanding workmanship
  • Florida Restaurant Culinary Salon, Orlando, 1989, Silver medal hot food competition
  • 1988 Palm Beach Chapter Culinary Salon - Gold medal and best of show in individual cold food platters & Bronze medal hot food competition
  • 1987-1988 Culinary Salons - Four silver medals and one bronze.
  • Member of the Club Manager's Association and Member of the American Culinary Federation
