The American Culinary Federation is the largest professional chefs' organization in North America, providing opportunities to network, compete and learn. Our local chapter is a non-profit organization that focuses on education and support of the culinary community in St Louis.

Be Better - Culinary Perspectives
Michael Matarazzo, CEC, shared his thoughts on managing stress and balancing life within the hospitality industry.
Bio of MICHAEL MATARAZZO, CEC
Born and raised on Long Island, Michael was formally trained at both The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY as well as the world renowned Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV. In 2010 he was named USA's Chef of The Year by The American Culinary Federation. Michael has been to the Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany three times as both competitor and coach. He is an ACF Certified Competitions Judge and has received numerous medals both domestic and International during his 20 year culinary career. Michael is a well sought after event speaker, trained life coach, and has a proven track record for team building and systems development. The services he provides are based on his "Be Better" philosophy which encourages self-awareness and self- accountability in order to improve all aspects of our individual environments.
Chapter Partners are businesses in the St. Louis area that support our Chefs de Cuisine chapter by providing us their time and effort, products and services, sponsorship and funding, and most importantly, their participation, expertise and advice about developing trends and needs in the culinary industry, Without them, we could only accomplish a small portion of what we set out to do.
FUNDRAISERS & COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The chapter raises money for scholarships, education and for the community. Chef to Child reaches out to all ages in our school systems and brings adults and children together. Our apprenticeship program gives cooks the opportunity to learn while working from some of the top chefs in Saint Louis.
Top chefs, purveyors, teachers and farmers from around the country come to teach our chapter and foodies alike their craft. Some demonstrations are free and all are geared towards anyone who has the time and passion for this rewarding craft. Join and learn with our dedicated membership.
