I hope this letter finds you all doing well and in good spirits. What a year this has been. I remember saying in my first letter that 2020 is the year of vision, but I don’t think any of us saw this coming. When the board was sworn in, we had a good vision on what we wanted to achieve within the year, which was building upon our education events, dinners and the numerous fundraisers while respecting your “free” time and ours. Immediately, the board hit the ground running, full of hope and eager to put their best foot forward into making this another great year. Unfortunately, that all came to a halt in late March from COVID-19….. Everything changed. As I know, most of you are so used to constant change in your workplace and in your daily lives, and can handle most anything thrown at you, however I don’t think any of us were prepared for this. But one thing remains true and constant, that is our willingness to overcome, and our bond as chefs and friends to stay connected.
During this time, your board has been in contact with each other, via emails and Facebook board meetings, discussing the how’s and the why’s and the do’s and don’ts of making the remaining of the year even feasible. Unfortunately, we have come to the difficult conclusion to cancel all in-person events for the remaining of the year. No, these where not easy decisions, but we must follow the guidelines to keep everyone safe during these unforeseen times.
However, ACF has several NEW ways to connect online that you can find on our website and the ACF national website. I encourage you to stay in contact, follow us on our social media outlets, please like and share the content. If you have anything you want to share with the chapter, please send it to us. We’d love to see what you are doing in your kitchens and share it with others.
I’m looking forward to the time where we can meet with no restrictions, to share ideas with one another, to taste wonderful food, to drink great wine and be even better than we were before. Until then…

Chapter Partners are businesses in the St. Louis area that support our Chefs de Cuisine chapter by providing us their time and effort, products and services, sponsorship and funding, and most importantly, their participation, expertise and advice about developing trends and needs in the culinary industry, Without them, we could only accomplish a small portion of what we set out to do.
FUNDRAISERS & COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The chapter raises money for scholarships, education and for the community. Chef to Child reaches out to all ages in our school systems and brings adults and children together. Our apprenticeship program gives cooks the opportunity to learn while working from some of the top chefs in Saint Louis.
Top chefs, purveyors, teachers and farmers from around the country come to teach our chapter and foodies alike their craft. Some demonstrations are free and all are geared towards anyone who has the time and passion for this rewarding craft. Join and learn with our dedicated membership.
