East Central reaction to February's President Letter
Letter from Chef Mike Palazzola
to his students at East Central College

Hello All,
I am always trying to find the right way to get you all involved with the Chefs de Cuisine ... [The February 2022 Chefs de Cuisne President's Letter] really resonated with me. Below is how the chapter helped me.
- Placement in a state of the art kitchen.
- Mentorship from some of the best Chefs in STL (and way beyond once you get there).
- Clear path for professional development.
- Ability to hone my skills through ACF sanctioned competition.
- Countless REAL networking opportunities. Meaning if I reach out to these chefs they are usually happy to help, or steer me in the right direction. Industry really is a culture of people helping people.
To sum it up, Chef [Scheible] hit the nail on the head. “I would not be where I am at today without the chapter and the benefits that I have received from it.” …Samesies for me.
Keep an eye for what is going on with the chapter here. https://stlchefs.org/. Volunteer any chance you get, for any event you can (see me if you have ?). You wont regret it. Heck last time I brought students to an event many of you won door prizes to some great restaurants in STL. All I am saying is you never know until you try.
Thanks,
Mike Palazzola, CEC
