Gelato Challenge Details
Presented by Carpigiani and The World Masters Gelato Festival
Join the world's most renowned festival celebrating the finest gelato flavors and the chefs who create them! The top two flavors will earn a spot at the USA Semi-Finals. Winners advance to the North American Finals and may be selected to represent North America in the Worldwide Finale in Italy. ARRIVAL
Competitors must arrive 30 minutes before their shift
UNIFORM
Competitors are encouraged to wear the official challenge chef uniform
REQUIREMENTS
Bring at least five liters of mix (pasteurized or ready to be frozen)
CHALLENGE RULES
30 minutes to batch-freeze your mix
Present your gelato in:
- A showcase pan (decorated if desired)
- A styrofoam container for the jury (no decoration needed)
Leave your lab station, batch freezer, and equipment clean before departing.
AFTER THE CHALLENGE
Participants may leave after cleaning but must return to present their gelato to the judges. You are welcome to stay for the awards ceremony with family, friends, or staff.
RECOGNITION & AWARDS
Every competitor will:
- Have their photo taken at the event
- Be mentioned in the press release
- Be promoted on relevant social media platforms
- Receive a diploma of participation
The Pastry Event is from 9am until noon at Hess Equipment Solutions. Chef Jessica Oloroso with Carpigiani will be holding a seminar to demonstrate on pastry solutions. There will be a light breakfast with coffee and drinks. Please RSVP to Danielle Tabers at (314) 532-3529 or [email protected]
