We're thrilled to present the talented members representing our St. Louis Chapter at the 2025 ACF Knowledge Bowl Competition! 🌟

Taking place during the ACF National Convention from July 27-31, 2025, at Caesars Paris Casino & Resort in Las Vegas! The Knowledge Bowl Team will showcase their culinary knowledge in the Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl. The competition is open to teams from ACF chapters, ACF apprenticeship programs, and accredited American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC) institutions. Teams compete in a "Jeopardy"-style double- elimination competition with questions covering topics such as nutrition, baking, culinary math, safety and sanitation, and the arts of classical and modern cooking.

The team practices every Monday at the Forest Park Community College. These dedicated individuals have shown exceptional culinary expertise, teamwork, and passion for the craft. As they prepare to compete at the convention, we are incredibly proud of their hard work and determination.

Join us in cheering for our Knowledge Bowl Team as they showcase their skills and knowledge at this prestigious event. Best of luck, team!

Meet the Team

Sarah Bailey, Coach

"I have been in the culinary industry for over a decade, specializing in pastry. I have had the privilege of working under esteemed chefs who have shaped my craft and passion. Now, in my third year as a Knowledge Bowl Coach, I am dedicated to mentoring and inspiring young culinarians. I am currently the Pastry Chef at Greenbriar Hills Country Club, working alongside Chef Anthony Lyons, where I can continue to refine my skills and share my knowledge with the next generation of chefs."

Nick Owens

"I'm happy to be representing St. Louis this year in the Knowledge Bowl! I will graduate this year from South Technical High School in the culinary arts program. I will be continuing my education at the University of Illinois-Springfield to get an accelerated Master's in Social Work. While I may not be continuing my culinary education, I know that the skills and knowledge that I have learned will help serve me in the future."

Austin Hallett

"This is my first year on the ACF Knowledge Bowl Team. I graduated from Forest Park Community College in May 2024 with a culinary arts degree, and I'm currently working at Greenbriar Country Club. In the future, I want to join the apprenticeship program to help me grow as a chef and learn from the best to build my confidence and skills in the culinary field."

Isa Siddiqui

"I am a second-year student at STLCC - Forest Park. I am in the culinary arts program. I have worked in restaurants since I was 15 and have a great passion for cooking. Currently, I work at Baumanns Fire Meats, a butcher shop and small business. It gives me insight on how to run a small business as well as teaching me how to properly break down cuts of meat. Hopefully, in the next 5 years, I will have graduated from the culinary arts program, and I hope to also have a minor in business. I see myself working in a restaurant or furthering my education abroad at another culinary school."

Evelyn Auberry

"Hello. This is my third year on the Knowledge Bowl Team, and it is an honor to represent Saint Louis for another year at the National level! I study at Saint Louis Community College at Forest Park, majoring in Baking and Pastry Arts. I am set to graduate this spring with an associate's degree. I work at Greenbriar Hills Country Club, assisting in their pastry department, focusing on their homemade bread and rolls. For my future, I hope to perfect my craft of the fine dining perspective of pastry and learn the techniques from the professionals in our field. Or, possibly going on to an externship to hone in on my details would be a dream of mine!"

Korik Vaught

"Hey! I'm so excited to be representing Saint Louis in the Knowledge Bowl for the first time! I'm graduating from South Tech this year from the Culinary Arts Program! I plan to take a gap year to explore the culinary field before continuing my education at a community college."

Kenzi Rose

"Hi! I'm Kenzi. After I graduate, I plan on going to STLCC for Baking and Pastries. After that, I'm thinking of pursuing a career in dietetics. I am pleased to represent Saint Louis on the Knowledge Bowl Team!"
